Havana
While on a French Government Grant in Paris (CROUS 1983) I was introduced to the renowned photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. I participated in yearlong drawing sessions at his studio. I cherish the many discussions with Cartier-Bresson which transformed my vision of photography and the printed image. His works continues to inspire me when traveling, or just walking through the woods. Recently I traveled to Cuba with the “Translucent Borders” project (NYU 2017), the photographs below are a journal of what I saw in Havana, Cuba.
